    Description

    Vintage Woodette Coast Guard Pressed Steel USCG Wood Figure Toy Rowboat.  This toy was played with so there are some dings and such with the paint but overall seems to be in nice condition.  All of the pieces move very smoothly.  The pull string is missing and it looks like the metal piece connecting the hand to the oar is not all there.  I do not know if the face applied was part of the original package or not.  It does look like it has been there a while.  Some of the pieces of the coast guard rower do easily come on and off.  I do not have the original box that this toy came in.  I read somewhere that the Woodette toys were manufactured from about the 1940s to 1950s and stopped manufacture with the popularity of plastic toys.
